This drum set plays well right out of the box. There are no cymbals included. I recommend the Zildjian ZBT series.

This set has the pearl protone heads. I'm sure for the more serious minded drummer you would want to upgrade to the Remo pinstripes or something along that line.

For the money this set is economical for the serious drummer. If your'e just wanting to bang around in the garage you might want to start with something a little more simple.

The bearings seem to be pretty consistent and the blacked out hardware makes this set aesthetically pleasing. The snare included is acceptable. This set would make a good road set and the looks make a statement. Not studio material though.
